Pre-Cap welcomes Green as Caps face Devils

Michal Neuvirth is expected to make his fourth consecutive start Friday as the New Jersey Devils invade Verizon Center at 7:00 p.m. The game is the second of what will be a season-long five-game homestand for Washington. Friday’s game follows what was a glass half-full night for the Caps on the out-of-town scoreboard, as the Winnipeg Jets pasted the Florida Panthers 7-0 at MTS Centre. Good news, the Panthers are still just three points in front of Washington for the Southeast Division lead. Bad news, the Jets jumped past the Caps into the eighth spot in the conference. But if Dale Hunter’s team can pick up four points between now and Sunday night, a trip back into the top eight is assured with the Jets off until Monday.

Pre-Cap today welcomes Mike Green to the program, talking about Friday’s dance with the Devils and the momentum gained from Tuesday’s thrill-ride victory over the Islanders.
