Johansson, Schultz and coach Johnson on today’s Pre-Cap

Coming off a virtuoso performance in a 4-0 win over Florida Tuesday night, Washington looks to continue forward momentum Thursday in a battle against the Winnipeg Jets at Verizon Center. The Jets with a regulation win can pull within two points of first place in the divisional race, making tonight’s tilt perhaps the biggest of the season to date for the boys from Manitoba. Meanwhile, a win for the Capitals coupled with a Los Angeles regulation win at Florida could give Dale Hunter’s team a three-point edge in the Southeast race.

On today’s edition of Pre-Cap, Marcus Johansson, Jeff Schultz and assistant coach Jim Johnson join us to talk about tonight’s game and more. Schultz is back in the lineup tonight, and Mike Knuble is expected to be a healthy scratch for the first time this season as Jay Beagle gets a sweater. We discuss all of it and more here.
